Anne Starkie and Lesley Edwards

Anne Starkie and Lesley Edwards are both registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the College of Podiatry.

Anne graduated with a diploma from the Northern College of Chiropody part of Salford University College of Technology in 1985 and Lesley in 1983.

 They have both many years of experience working in the NHS before concentrating on the private practice

Along with the change of name from chiropody to podiatry in the 1990s the qualification is now a degree.

It is an offence for anyone to use the terms chiropodist or podiatrist unless they are registered with the HCPC

Feet are assessed and foot problems diagnosed, and a treatment plan is agreed with you.

Common conditions treated are

Toenails whether thickened, ingrown, fungal or just difficult to cut.

Corns, callus/hard skin, dry skin and cracked heels, athletes foot

Verrucae

Biomechanics

Foot pain, Plantar fasciitis, Heel pain, Metatarsalgia

Sometimes just shoe fitting advice or in shoe orthotics may be required

Diabetes and vascular assessment

Nail surgery is available for the permanent cure of ingrown toenails

Podiatry £38

Simple nail cut £27

Simple toenail is a service offered for people who can no longer reach or manage to cut their toenails and have no other foot care needs.

It is a reduced fee nail cut only appointment and may be available after an initial full appointment and assessment.
